Our Story
Comm Thrive emerged as a platform with a fundamental mission: to dismantle barriers to information access. We are passionate about democratizing knowledge, providing individuals with unrestricted access to information beyond the confines of formal education and professional environments. Whether it’s nurturing passions, securing employment opportunities, enhancing social media presence, or navigating various challenges, our aim is to empower individuals with the resources and guidance they need to thrive.
Our overarching goal extends beyond mentorship; it’s about fostering a culture where mentees evolve into mentors themselves, perpetuating a cycle of empowerment and breaking down the traditional barriers of gatekeeping. By equipping individuals with the tools, skills, and support they require to succeed, we envision a future where access to opportunity is not limited by preconceived notions or exclusivity, but instead, is open and accessible to all. Directors
Mr. Sean S. Sweeney has been employed with Philadelphia Insurance Companies since 1979. He began his career in the insurance industry as an account executive and worked his way up to becoming Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer in 1998. Mr. Sweeney was named President & Chief Marketing Officer in 2010 before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer in January of 2012.
In 1993, Mr. Sweeney helped take the Company public with founder James J. Maguire, Sr. He is a current Director on the Board at Philadelphia Insurance Companies. As a passionate proponent of education, he serves on the Board of Trustees at the University of Mount Union and Saint Joseph’s University. He is also an adjunct faculty member and sits on the Board of Governors of the Academy of Risk Management and Insurance at Saint Joseph’s. He holds an MBA from Saint Joseph’s University and the following insurance industry designations: CPCU, RPLU, CPIA and ARe. Mr. Sweeney is an Ironman triathlete.
